Singapore's first ever salt water relaxation pool debuted at The Capitol Kempinski, an ultra posh hotel (envisioned by Pritzker architecture prize laureate Richard Meier) which spans two exquisitely restored heritage buildings sited within the downtown civic district. Lush foliage seen surrounding on 3 sides plus one classy, expansive arched glass canopy shielding it against the elements recalls to mind a natatorium of sorts, this particular affair however being far smaller and more intimate.

For the uninitiated, sodium laced basins are less intensely chlorinated than typical pool formats, consequently folks are absolved of dry, chalky skin upon re-emerging after a thorough soak (if anything, you should feel a tad smoother on the exterior). Add to that boosted immune systems, enhanced nervous function as well as suitably disinfected torsos. So don your swim gear already and jump right in. Then kick back, relax... allow 'em slew of serious health benefits to literally wash all over.
Located on the fourth level of the hotel, this facility is open to staying guests from 7am to 10pm daily. The Capitol Kempinski adjoins Capitol Piazza, and can be easily accessed via connecting escalators leading from City Hall MRT station. Note a modestly sized fitness centre alongside spa treatment rooms coexist in directly adjacent spaces.
